Your Agricultural Innovation Could Shape Africa’s Future

Register an agriculture-based innovation that addresses a practical challenge in production, processing, agricultural services or market access. FPI welcomes ideas, prototypes and existing solutions seeking structured development.

Eligible innovations

This incubation programme accepts strictly agriculture-based innovations. Every submission must demonstrate a direct, practical application within agriculture or its associated value chains. Eligible categories include crop production, seed systems and nurseries; livestock, aquaculture and animal feed; soil health, irrigation and agricultural water management; farm machinery, engineering and automation; agricultural AI, sensors, drones and digital tools; postharvest handling, storage and cold chains; food, botanical and agricultural biomass processing; agricultural quality assurance, testing and traceability; agricultural logistics, market access and financial tools; and agricultural waste recovery, renewable energy and circular production. General technology or business ideas qualify only when their agricultural application is clearly demonstrated.

Incubation pathway

Submit → Eligibility Review → Technical Assessment → Selection → Incubation Planning → Testing and Development → Progress Review. Support may include technical guidance, research connections, business planning, prototype development, field testing and market preparation, depending on available capacity and agreed arrangements. Registration does not promise funding, patent protection, commercial success or acceptance.
