Who We Are
Farmers Pride International (FPI) is a subsidiary of Hunter’s Global Network (HGN), working to transform agriculture into a connected system of productive farms, thriving enterprises and stronger communities. Founded by Elfas Mcloud Z Shangwa (H.UN.T.E.R), FPI brings together farmers, young people, women, schools, investors and industry partners to build opportunities across the agricultural value chain—from production and training to processing, value addition and market access.
Our flagship Rural & Urban Agriculture Innovative Production Program (RUAIPP) connects rural production with urban markets and industrial development. Through Agriculture-Based Clusters (ABCs) and Agriculture Systems Integration (ASI), we help communities organise resources, connect complementary enterprises and develop commercially focused agricultural businesses. Our Online Academy supports this work by equipping learners with practical knowledge in farming, entrepreneurship and agribusiness management.
At FPI, we design agriculture. We begin with the market, assess available resources and connect the skills, production systems, infrastructure and partnerships needed to create lasting value. Our purpose is to help people move from agricultural potential to productive businesses, meaningful employment and resilient local economies.
Farmer’s Pride International began as a local mission to reform agricultural practices and has evolved into a global social enterprise. Founded on the principle of blending purpose with profit, we operate from dual headquarters in Botswana as the main HQ and the USA as the Research and Development Hub to bridge the gap between African smallholder farmers and the international marketplace.
Our journey started with a vision to transform traditional farming into a modern industrial powerhouse. By establishing strategic processing clusters and research networks, FPI empowers communities to move beyond raw production into value-added bio-industrialisation, ensuring sustainable economic growth across the continent.

Core Values
Our Approach to BETP Alignment
FPI connects agricultural knowledge, production, processing and markets through Agriculture-Based Clusters. Our entry into the Botswana Economic Transformation Programme (BETP) process focused on a Moringa Agriculture-Based Cluster, using Moringa oleifera as the anchor crop for skills, enterprise, value addition and export development.
FPI reports 7,000 farmers trained, 50 ABCs registered and 150 farmers growing Moringa. Four farmers contributed to the first export to Germany alongside production from our Uphopia Farms subsidiary. We report three buyers: two in Germany and one in South Africa, including interest in contract farming for additional high-value crops.
Our programme target is 153,000 jobs: 53,000 direct and 100,000 indirect. The initial loan request was USD 4.5 million; neither figure describes an achieved result or secured funding. Elfas Zadzagomo Shangwa (Hunter)
Founder & Executive President
Elfas Mcloud Zadzagomo Shangwa (HUNTER) is an Agriculture Systems Architect, Bio-Industry Designer, author and mindset change speaker.
He is Executive President and Founder of Hunter’s Global Network and its subsidiary, Farmers Pride International, In 2021 he became the NGO Whisperer Global Fellow, 2021. His work connects production, education, technology, processing, finance and markets through RUAIPP and Agriculture-Based Clusters.
His publications address agricultural systems, high-value crops, cluster development, climate-smart production, bio-industrialisation and enterprise management. His guiding belief is: “We design agriculture.”
With over 25 years of experience in agricultural research and agribusiness, Hunter leads FPI with a vision to industrialise African agriculture.
